Vistek was founded in 2006 as a spinoff from Sabancı University – Turkey. In December 2009, a German company - ISRA Vision, which is number 1 in Europe and number 3 in the world in machine vision, became a partner to Vistek and the name became Vistek ISRA Vision. We have two application groups: 1. Industrial applications, 2. Social applications.
Industrial applications business unit develops solutions for quality inspection, assembly automation, smart production decisions for productivity increase. In essence, Vistek delivers enhanced “smart” camera based automation systems that can quickly and effectively scan various processes, and then output statistical analysis. Over the last five years, Vistek has offered sophisticated automating systems across a broad range of industries, including automotive, glass bottle / glassware production, white goods, LPG, etc. However, we are recently concentrating more on glass and food industries. Some of the applications we have developed include: glassware inspection, fig sorting (separating figs with aflatoxin), olive sorting, glass cullet sorting, 3D measurements of parts, etc.
Social applications are more in the R&D phase. We develop solutions for gender recognition, activity monitoring (especially for patients with dementia), to support caretakers and medics.
